Late comment re: Monster House (R)

We rented it and watched about 10 minutes of it before Soren decided he wasn't interested. But that line about the ball costing $28 dollars and asking mom for a dollar 26 times? It cracked me up. It struck me as so familiar that I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how I knew it.
