Dexter -A

This is the TV show from Showtime. David from 6 Ft Under. Premise of the show: Dexter is a blood spatter expert for the Miami PD. On the side he is a serial killer. Is he a bad guy? Wait before you answer that. He is killing the bad people, the people that get away. Actually he is creepy, but very likable! We have watched 3 episodes so far and the twist on the Miami Ice Truck killer is genius. Can't wait to keep watching! 4 Barbie doll heads.

1408 -A

I did not find it quite as scary as miss scaredy pants Robin, It was good. I liked the psychological factor. Left unanswered questions. Sean did not like it, I think he was just jealous because of John Cusack. I give it 3 bloody walls.

1408 (R)

I've decided my husband loves me slightly less than I thought he did. He apparently doesn't love me enough to let me grip his arms and neck tightly while this scary movie scared the holy bejeezus out of me. Have I mentioned I'm a jumper? And when I jump I generally grab hold of something-anything close, especially if it's G's arm, neck, or, heaven forbid, his leg anywhere near his genital region.

My former boyfriend John Cusack (who's now, sadly, sorta puffy and woman-like in a not-so-appealing, Dustin Hoffman-esque way) is Mike Enslin, a cynical writer-reviewer of supposedly haunted houses and hotels. A mysterious postcard brings him to room 1408 (=13, by the way) of the Dolphin Hotel in NYC. His cynicism is put to the test and his baggage is opened and examined during his stay in the room.

Bourne Ultimatum --A

LOVED IT! LOVED MATT DAMON! LOVED THE ACTION! LOVED THE STORY!

The Bourne Supremacy (R)

I loved #3 and wanted to see #1 and #2 again. I'll have to watch #2 again, though, because one too many mojitos kept me from really following along and ultimately I went to bed around minute 27. But the mojitos? 5 mint leaves out of 5!

The Village (R)

I stopped watching M. Night Shyamalan movies after Unbreakable because, well, it was stupid. But G brought home The Village the other night and I figured what the heck. Guess what? It was stupid! I enjoyed a couple of jumps but otherwise my eyes hurt from nonstop rolling. 1 wildlife refuge out of 5.

Sunshine (R)

I treated my brit to a bit of science fiction the other night with Sunshine at the Fox Tower. It started out a little low-key, almost like watching sci-fi on teevee, but sped up halfway through and was pretty cool! It's the future (of course) and a group of scientists (of course) are on their way to deliver a bomb at the sun to kick-start it so it'll warm up again. There's a bit of science, a bit of psychology, a bit of religion and "who's running this show anyway?" I'll give it 3.8 payloads out of 5 and that's generous for this non-sci-fi girl.
