In Her Shoes -A
Have you read the book by Jennifer Weiner? Fun chicklette read. The movie had Toni Collette and I really like her, followed her career since Muriel's Wedding. Also stars Shirley Maclaine, a legend. Then there is Cameron Diaz, does anyone else think she is weird looking? Total Monet, beautiful from a distance but close up it doesn't make sense. But back to the movie. I didn't hate it and didn't love it. I was in the mood for a chickflik and it fulfilled that for sure. I have a very difficult time liking any film that I have read the book so I give this a 2 out of 5 future zuchinni breads from Jamie.

I've not read or seen this. I read Weiner's other book -- Good in Bed, I think? -- and it included a chapter excerpt from In Her Shoes in the back. The excerpt was mostly a toilet stall sex scene, something that grosses out the germaphobe in me. How'd they handle the toilet sex scene in the movie?
I agree about Carmen Diaz. I don't know how she ever got the hottie label and I certainly don't know how she keeps it.

They did an OK job of the stall scene, it took a minute to figure out what and where. Sex and public bathrooms are not a good combo! Some people have a hard enough time washing their hands after peeing and you want me to have sex in a stall they just took a leak in?? No Way! -A
